Workout plan when life gets hectic

It seems that every day I make a commitment to work out…..tomorrow. I really need to tone my core, tighten my gluts, get rid of those cankles; you name it, I need to do it. Yet somehow this never comes to fruition.

So what is a girl to do? I am still working on that but I can tell you what not to do.

Step 1: DO NOT log into Pinterest.  With ideas aplenty, charts, tips, tricks, etc., etc. You can easily spend hours sitting on your butt pinning and scrolling without moving a single muscle.

Step 2: Do not go to the extreme.  I am no stranger to working out for an hour or two on the first day and then being so sore the second day that you can’t even walk . Result: your back on the sofa flipping through Pinterest.

Step 3: Excuses, Excuses, Excuses. I have a ton of them. The key is not to buy into your own B.S.  Where there is a will, there is a way; it all comes down to how bad you want it.

Step 4: Never talk down about yourself. You need to be your biggest cheerleader.

All that being said, I finally have found the perfect work out regiment.

Step 1: Get up and move. It doesn’t matter what you do or when you do it as long as you are up and moving. Who knows, this baby step may lead to bigger and better things.

So now I am off to jump on the trampoline with my little man; making silly faces and burning off some extra pounds.

Share your "best" excuses for not working out, what you like to do as exercise, tips, tricks, or just a comment. We love hearing from you.

P.S. - all these images were taken from ... you guessed it...Pinterest.
